Place
Land ownership is the anchor. The eventual scale should emerge from life, resources, geography, health, appetite, and opportunity—not from a master plan written too early.

Smiths Meadow is an exploration of stewardship, regeneration, useful work, local food, animals, learning, service, and a good life at human scale.
Think globally. Act locally.
Smiths Meadow begins with a simple bias toward the tangible: grow something, raise something well, improve the soil, help a neighbor, teach a skill, care for an animal, make a place better. The larger questions can stay large. The work can stay local.

Plants, livestock, working animals, food, water, soil, beauty, and useful infrastructure belong in one conversation.

Regeneration can describe human lives too: more capacity, competence, belonging, purpose, health, and connection.
Explore people →Scale follows life
A diversified micro-farm with miniature donkeys and Dexter cattle may fit one future. A premium cattle operation, a canine-focused practice, or a much larger grazing landscape may fit another. Bigger is not automatically better.
The point is not to choose today. It is to learn what kinds of places and practices are worth loving.
“We’re walking around the museum looking at art.”
Some ideas deserve a whole gallery. Others need only a small room. For now, Smiths Meadow is a place to notice what resonates.
Local production, direct relationships, transparency, good flavor, and alternatives built by doing.
Food and neighbors →Move beyond merely sustaining what exists. Ask whether land, animals, and people can leave stronger than they arrived.
Regeneration →Possibilities, influences, unresolved branches, and ideas that are allowed to stay ideas.
