Animals

Animals are not scenery.

They can shape land, produce food, create work worth doing, teach responsibility, and form relationships with people that are difficult to reproduce any other way.

Many possible herds

Miniature donkeys and Dexter cattle fit one small-scale picture. A modest American Wagyu herd fits another. Bison on a vast landscape is beautiful for different reasons. These are alternative paintings, not a shopping list.

Canine possibilities

A canine-focused operation could raise and train animals for therapy providers and patients, for working/security applications, or for other carefully chosen placements. The breeding, training, placement, and professional-practice pieces do not have to live under one roof.

Fit the animal to the place

Species, numbers, stocking, movement, shelter, feed, labor, veterinary care, and economics all become real constraints once a particular piece of land exists. Until then, curiosity is allowed to stay broad.
