Influences
Permaculture design. Polyface Farms and Joel Salatin. Wendell Berry. Matt Powers. Larry Hountz and City Hydro. Holistic grazing and the arguments around it. Local food. Appropriate technology. Animal-assisted work. Mutual aid. Useful skills. Personal experience with peppers, sauce, cattle, land, and systems.
The museum rule
Not every idea deserves the same-sized room. Food, land, animals, stewardship, and human regeneration may occupy whole galleries. Emergency preparedness and security deserve proportionate attention without becoming an identity.
